Sport is a key part of school life for all at New Hall School. New Hall Preparatory School is dedicated to providing the very best in Physical Education. This is reflected in our outstanding sporting facilities which are second to none.
We recognise that Physical Education is an area of physical, mental and social development and we aim to promote good health and fitness in all children.
Within curriculum time, the Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 children are taught introductory activities in areas of gymnastics, athletics and the fundamental skills required in more traditional ‘games’. The progression of knowledge and skills continues into Key Stage 2 lessons, where pupils develop a greater understanding of performance in sporting activities.
Pupils at New Hall Preparatory School are able to compete in a number of sporting fixtures and competitions.
Our pupils have won many awards and trophies for sporting accomplishments in a variety of sports. New Hall Preparatory School girls were runners up in the New Hall Girls Cricket Festival 2016 and were winners at the regional Kwik Cricket finals, progressing through to County finals.
Our Under 10 Netball team were winners of the New Hall tournament 2016. In Summer 2016, New Hall Preparatory School was awarded the Chelmsford School Partnership award for ‘Outstanding Contribution and Achievement in PE and Sport’.
